Take a break from preparing for the holidays and let us do the cooking for you!
Begin the festive season celebrating the bounty of the local harvest with DHSM’s second annual fall dinner. Last year we dined with Dedham Pottery and this year we will set the dining room with vintage china, each table in a different patter, from Victorian to Mid-Century Modern and beyond. Guests will be served roasted turkey, roast vegetables, salad, a selection of breads, and homemade pie.
The evening’s guest speaker is Kathy Kottaridis, Executive Director of Historic Boston, Inc. She will discuss the restoration of the Fowler/Clark/Epstein farm in Mattapan, Boston’s only surviving farm. Its historic buildings and land have been restored as a fully functioning farm run by the Urban Farming Institute.
The night will also include the First Annual DHSM Award. The evening’s honoree is the Worthington Committee, a dedicated group of volunteers who for more than 20 years have organized fundraising events for the DHSM.
