Nature’s Bounty - The fall harvest is in! The variety of farm fresh produce this season is a feast for the eyes. You’ve got 3 more chances to make it down to the Dedham Farmers Market to pick out the perfect pumpkin, search for some sumptuous squash, ogle over the apples, pick through the potatoes, pine over the peppers and croon over the corn before the season ends on October 31st. Did we mention that all of the produce is grown right here in Massachusetts? Find your favorite specialty food items, too – European pastries and breads, fresh seafood, fresh pasta, sauces and cheese, grass fed meat, maple syrup, jams, jellies, and more. Held on the First Church Green on Wednesdays 12-6 pm through October 31st.
Hip To Be Square – The Square was hoppin’ last Thursday night for our monthly 1st Thursdays promotion. The Dedham Square Artist Guild was packed as guests, member artists, and founders Kerry Hawkins, Marietta Appollonio, and Jen Barsamian, gathered to celebrate the occasion of The Guild’s first anniversary. Paradise Café was filled with folks enjoying live music by Cariad Harmon and Jon Paul and the Dedham Community Theatre packed in a large crowd of people there to check out the Manhattan Short Film Festival. The Square restaurants were busy as well – all in all, a great night! It seems the word is out about what a hip and happenin’ place the Square is. Join us for our next 1st Thursday on November 1st. More details next issue.
