Describe yourself in 3 sentences:
I am a graphic designer and photographer living in Dedham. I am also a co-founder of the Dedham Square Artist Guild, member of Boston Handmade, and a member of the Dedham Cultural Council. I am an artist and try to be an active person in my community.
How did you end up in this line of work? I attended the Art Institute of Boston and decided to major in graphic design. I have been photographing most of my life but really started to take it seriously in college.
What you like most about your work? I love to create eye catching posters, flyers, logos, etc. I have used my skills as a designer and photographer to design advertising pieces and photographing for organizations such as the Dedham Square Artist Guild and Dedham Square Circle.
What's a typical day like for you?
My typical day can vary quite a bit but always includes blog posts, Facebook posts and marketing for my business and the Dedham Guild, designing client work and sometimes photographing for a client. I also work a few shifts a week in the Dedham Guild Gallery. I often meet clients there.
What makes your businesses unique?
I wear several hats, co-founder of the Dedham Guild, Photographer, online marketer, artist and graphic designer. The Guild has allowed me, Marietta Apollonio and Jen Barsamian, the other co-founders, to bring another artistic outlet to the Square by featuring local artists, putting on shows and having events.
What do you like most about Dedham Square?
Dedham Square is a fun compact Square and I can wander and always find something to do, see art, grab a yummy lunch or dinner, shop and more... I know many merchants and often bump into people I know in the Square. It is a fun place to hang out and see friends.
