Fresh and Local – Three weeks into our third season and the Dedham Farmers Market is off to a great start! With more specialty food vendors added to our already amazing lineup of local farms and vendors, it has become a regional draw. Fresh seafood, baked goods, grass-fed meats, eggs, cheese and so much more! Visit the market on Wednesdays from 12-6 in the town's permit parking lot, across from CVS. Drink a Cup, Help a Pup - Have you tried Jack & Eric’s Pirate Lemonade yet? The dynamic duo, 9-year-old Jack Linari and his 6-year-old brother, Eric, are back at it again this year, selling their world famous lemonade to raise funds for a local cause. This year’s pick – the Animal Rescue League of Boston. Stop by next week’s Farmers Market to buy a cup or two!

 

Band Demand -  "Silly Bandz" have been spotted in the Square! Check out the fun designs available at Maribu and The Blue Bunny! Don't know what Silly Bandz are? Ask any school-aged kid, they'll fill you in!

 

Did you know… the oldest wooden chair made in America is in Dedham Square? You can't sit on it, but you can go see the Metcalf chair built in Dedham in 1652 and said to be the oldest piece of furniture made in America, at the Dedham Historical Society.

 

It’s Show Time! Opening tomorrow night at the Dedham Community Theatre is “Cyrus,” an official selection of the Sundance Film Festival. "The Girl Who Played with Fire," the second installment in the MilleniumTrilogy, opens 7/9.

Music and Mochas – If you thought the tall 20-something guy with black hair who steams your lattes at Paradise Café looks familiar, you’re right! Drama Queens Wanted! - "Off the Grid" is a week-long workshop for teens using various acting techniques and exploring old and new forms of design using renewable energy. Dedham Square Trivia – Congratulations to George Pagliuca, Kerry Hawkins, Laurie Larson, Robert DiMartino, George Hoffman, Alex Shumway, Barbara Gula and Andrea O’Connell, who all got the answer right to our last Dedham Square Trivia question. “The Friends of Eddie Coyle,” was the movie starring actor Robert Mitchum in which a bank robbery scene was filmed in Dedham Square in 1972.
