A weekly market will be held at the new "Dedham Square Country Market", located in the Odd Fellows building at 626 High Street (next to Nest). The market has been organized by Greg Agnew, proprietor of the Dedham Square Country Market, whose family farm "Lemon Thyme Farm" was a regular vendor at the Dedham Farmers Market last season. In 2009, Massachusetts experienced an explosion of Farmers Markets throughout the state. The Massachusetts Department of Agriculture is helping local farmers and local artisan food suppliers connect with communities on a year round basis. The Dedham Square Country Market has invited some of the leading farm/food vendors from the summer markets to come to Dedham's newest market. All of the participants have been in some of largest attended farmers markets in our state. Every Sunday at the market: Jordan Brothers Seafood - with the "freshest seafood available. Featured this week, haddock, swordfish, scallops and fresh Atlantic salmon! Jordan's Bros. Seafood will start on 2/7 Bakery on the Common - will feature loaves of bread including focaccia, assiago cheese, wheat,tomato and onion, whole grain and others. In addition, muffins, tea breads, scones and cupcakes will be available. Freitas Farm - will feature root vegetables as well as local apples. LemonThyme Farm- will be featuring all natural jams, pure local honey, maple syrup, mustards and marinades. Fresh baked "all natural" Blueberry Pies will be available. Fior D'Italia - will feature local gourmet pasta and cheese. Fresh raviolis, pasta, mozzarella, gourmet sauces and 6 minute meals. Experience ravioli filled with a locally grown squash! Crescent Ridge Dairy - See what makes their small batch milk so incredibly good, you may never drink the store-bought stuff again! Smith's Country Cheese - Cheeses and spreads are made from the freshest milk possible, just minutes after the last cow in their dairy herd is milked! Stop by the Market to enjoy some of their award-winning Gouda and Cheddar cheeses! Best Friends Cocoa - featuring "fat free" cocoa. Best Friends Cocoa is available in many tasty flavors. To Dine For - Mediteranean Specialty Foods including the freshest hummas around! Smith's Country Cheese -their cheeses and spreads are made from the freshest milk possible, just minutes after the last cow in their dairy herd is milked! Stop by the Market to enjoy some of their award-winning Gouda and Cheddar cheeses! The Farmstead at Minebrook - cheese, ice cream and more. The Best Damn Granola Company- the name speaks for itself. Foxboro Cheese Company- Fromage Blanc in very generous 8-ounce containers in plain or flavored with chives, dill, lemon honey or tomato basil! Big Sky Breads - offers a wide array of products, including specialty custom-made cakes, pastries, and artisan breads Shy Brothers Cheese- tiny "artisanal" cheeses hand made by the very shy Santos brothers from their third-generation dairy farm in Westport, Massachusetts Our Favorite - homemade salad dressing and barbeque sauce for family dinners and barbeques Many of their suppliers will be accepting orders for the following week.
